Agricultural Growth

It was a great day in the nursery at Ficklewood on Friday. Our newest herd sow, Marigold, has given berth to 9 healthy little piglets.Mother and piglets are doing fine.

WAY TOO MUCH SNOW!

The weight of the snow and ice has proven to be too much for our domed shelter. The building collapsed last week crushing some of the contents. We are waiting for the crew to remove the debris so we  can see what damage was done.

While waiting for spring, Ron has been busy perfecting his smoking and charcuterie skills.  As he is always interested in learning, he is currently looking for a charcuterie course to take.  If you know of any, please email at info@ficklewood.ca.

There is so much snow out there I finally learned how to get into this thing. Now if I can learn to insert pictures this site will improve. At this time there are 7 tams for sale and 2 more booked in for the butcher on Feb.22 They were born Sept. 22. Call if tou want to reserve one. Hopefully I will get better a blogging
