Tamworths for Sale or Trade

Our beautiful Irish sows have bestowed upon us 8 healthy piglets, 6 girls and 2 boys.  The mothers are originally from Jim Wright at Paddy Green Acres farm in Ancaster.  They are available for purchase as registered purebred breeding stock or we can continue to raise them and send them to the butchers for the most delicious pork ever tasted.  We are also willing to trade one of the boys as a registered purebred boar for one of the same from a different bloodline.  Please call Ron at 705-323-3571 or email him at info@ficklewood.ca for further information.

Our Website is Up and Running!

Thanks to Brenda at Heart of Business in Barrie, our website has been launched!  www.ficklewood.ca is now online.  We will be adding to it as time permits and the pigs allow us to sit down for a spell.  You can follow the progress of your favourite pig on Twitter or on Facebook.

Waiting for Snow!

The sleighs are down from the loft and most of the trails have been cleared of debris. The kids and grandkids are anxiously awaiting the first sleigh ride of the season.

We need Mother Nature to give us enough snow to fill the trails, creating the beautiful white rivers on which the cutters sail through the peace and quiet of the Ficklewood Forests.
